ROAD PATROL INVESTIGATOR C.J. ZIMMERMAN

Investigator CJ Zimmerman has been an employee of Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for over 22 years. From 1990 to 1998 he worked in the Jail Bureau. Happy but not yet realizing his dream he took and successfully passed the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol test. He has worked on the Road Patrol for over 15 years. He is a member that has a very positive attitude and loves his job. He enjoys helping others whether they are fellow department members in training or members of the public on various calls for service.

For the last five years CJ has participated in The Police Unity Tour, a memorial bicycle ride from Northern NJ to Washington DC. The tour’s mission is to raise awareness and money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. To date he has raised over $12,000 for the memorial. In response to officers from around the county participating in the tour, veteran area riders have created a local organization called “Rochester area Officers Always Remember” (ROAR). ROAR’s mission is to assist new members from the area who are riding in the tour and to help each other in fundraising for the tour. CJ serves as the President of this organization. ROAR currently has 15 members.

In addition to his time that he devotes to MCSO and ROAR, CJ is married with 4 teenage children. His wife is an EMT for Rural Metro and works midnights in the city. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Emerald Society, ITALEO and serves on his parish’s church council.

Inv. CJ Zimmerman, the MCSPBA and upstanding citizens of Monroe County thank you for your hard work and efforts and your continued commitment to serving the public in such an unselfish manner.
